Andrew Williamson Fresh Produce is voluntarily recalling one lot of organic grape tomatoes sold under the Limited Edition® and Fresh & Easy labels due to a possible health risk from Salmonella.
The recall notice is being issued out of an abundance of caution because one clamshell of Limited Edition organic grape tomatoes tested positive for Salmonella in a random sample collected and tested by the United States Department of Agriculture in Michigan.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced today that the District Court for the Middle District of Florida entered a consent decree that prohibits Hill Dermaceuticals, Inc., and Hill Labs, Inc. (collectively referred to as “Hill”), and individuals Jerry S. Roth and Rosario G. Ramirez, from introducing adulterated drugs into interstate commerce.

Publix Super Markets is issuing a voluntary recall for spinach dip because it may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes. The problem was discovered as a result of routine microbial testing conducted by Publix.

Rich Products Corporation is voluntarily recalling SeaPak Breaded Butterfly Shrimp – Ready to Fry, Net Wt. 22 oz., Product Code 10302, because the product contains an undeclared milk ingredient (whey) in the coating of the shrimp (less than 0.1%). People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of an allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Carol’s Cuts LLC, Kansas food processor, is recalling 594 pounds of fresh cut cantaloupe packaged in 5-pound trays as chunks and as an ingredient in 8-ounce mixed fruit medley because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriage and stillbirths among pregnant women.
